What’s new compared with the Moto G67
The Moto G77 shares much of its styling and core hardware with the Moto G67, yet it improves several key areas. The most notable changes are a brighter Extreme AMOLED screen with higher peak brightness, a higher-resolution main camera that supports lossless zoom, and a larger battery. If you liked the G67’s look but wanted better imaging and runtime, the G77 addresses those points.
Display and screen quality
The phone sports a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED display that refreshes at 120Hz for smooth scrolling and animations. Motorola claims it is the brightest panel used in a Moto G to date, offering significantly improved visibility over the outgoing G56 and G67. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i for better scratch resistance and overall durability.
Performance and memory options
Under the hood the Moto G77 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which delivers solid everyday performance and competent gaming at this price point. Memory configurations include 8GB or 12GB of RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. A microSD slot is also available for those who need additional space.
Camera system
The G77’s headline camera is a 108MP main sensor that supports 3x lossless zoom — a first for the Moto G family. It is joined by an 8MP wide-angle rear shooter and a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Motorola includes multiple shooting modes such as Dual Capture, Timelapse, Night Vision and Pro mode for manual control, giving users a versatile imaging experience.
Connectivity and audio
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi‑Fi, NFC for contactless payments and dual-SIM support. The phone charges via USB-C and retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. Audio is handled by stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, and dual microphones help improve call quality and voice recording.
Battery and charging
The Moto G77 packs a 5,200mAh battery designed to easily get most users through a full day of use. When it’s time to recharge, the device supports 30W fast charging to quickly top up the battery.
Durability and software
The handset carries an IP64 rating, offering dust resistance and splash protection so it can withstand light rain and everyday spills (but it is not rated for submersion). Software-wise the G77 ships with Android 16 and Motorola’s Hello UX customizations for added features and personalization.
Colors, box contents and availability
Motorola offers the G77 in Pantone Black Olive and Pantone Shaded Spruce finishes. Pricing starts at €299.99 in Europe for the 8GB/512GB configuration. In the UK the phone is listed at £250 for the 8GB/128GB variant. What’s included in the box varies by market — some regions receive a protective case and charger while others may not.
Should you consider the Moto G77?
The Moto G77 presents strong value in the mid-range segment thanks to its high-resolution 108MP camera with 3x lossless zoom, a large 5,200mAh battery and a bright 120Hz AMOLED display, all at a sub-€300 price for certain configurations. If you want a well-rounded daily driver with improved photography and long battery life without spending a lot, the Moto G77 is worth a close look.
